Indian Railway – Helping one to meet their near and dear ones

For a common person, any travel either a long-distance or short-distance is a matter to think for the cost involved. However, with the development of rail network in the country, Indian Railway helps fulfilling his or her dreams within the limitation of his or her budget. With the introduction of the railway online booking system the reservation of tickets has become very easy.  Earlier, one had to stand in the queue for long hours to book the tickets.  But now, one can do the same by sitting at home or office.

Indian Railway has different types of trains classified depending on their speed.  Each passenger train will have different types of classes depending on the importance of the train and the route. Some of the passenger trains include Duronto Express which is a non-stop train with only some service stations in between.  Then there is also Rajdhani Express which is a fast train.  In both these trains the fare includes the food served in them.  But in others the fare does not include the food.

You can book train tickets 120 days in advance for a long-distance journey and for that you need to pay a nominal booking charge. Then you get a ticket showing your date of journey, train no, train name and the details of the persons who are traveling.  During the journey you need to carry a valid ID proof, which can be anything like a voter’s ID, passport, or PAN card. With the introduction of Garib Rath trains Indian Railway has met the dreams of a common person traveling in an AC coach possible.
